Through a set core of beliefs, it is our goal to instill and teach students the true essence of MIND, BODY and SPIRIT – the ideal of the total human being.
Head Instructor Danny Alvarez’s journey as a student in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in 1998. Since that time he has trained and studied under some the best Jiu-Jitsu instructors in the nation. Throughout the past 10 years Mr. Alvarez has been training under the world renowned Machado Brothers: Carlos, Roger, Rigan, John and Jean Jacques. The Machado Brothers have built one of the strongest Jiu-Jitsu organizations in the world and have instructed some of the most famous martial artists such as Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal and many more. From March of 2002 to present day, he has been under the close tutelage of Orlando Waugh, owner and head instructor of Texas Self Defense Academy in Arlington. Mr. Waugh is a black belt under the world famous Carlos Machado.
Throughout Mr. Alvarez’s training career he has been active at every level of competition. This has allowed him to develop and hone the mental capacity to Conquer One’s Self and face all challenges. This spirit has become a cornerstone of his teaching and is his goal to pass the “Never Give Up” philosophy to his students.
