Loading...The Charlottesville Judo Academy invites you to explore judo as a fun and exciting sport for the entire family. Our school opened its doors in Charlottesville, Virginia over ten years ago, and have more than 35 years of teaching and coaching judo. We have produced international and national judo champions for the last 15 years. Our monthly fees are the lowest for martial art instruction in all of Charlottesville.
Parents and children are encouraged to work out together in a family-oriented setting taught by qualified instructors. Participants learn about judo through games and training exercises that are structured for safety, physical fitness, and fun.
All students, even the most mature, have the option to use their skills in tournaments, if they prefer, where they can compete among their peers as determined by age and weight. Come by and watch our workouts, and meet our instructors. You’ll see why judo is the first martial art to be included in Olympic competition and is the most popular martial art practiced in the world today.
Charlottesville Judo Academy is located at the Piedmont Family YMCA in Oak Forest.
