Our students are introduced to fundamental principles of martial arts through an athletic approach to training. Realistic and contemporary training methods are utilized which stress cultivation of proper body mechanics, conditioning, power, speed, economy of motion, awareness, and knowledge of the various ranges of combat.

The NW Kickboxing CSW program teaches the fundamental movements and defenses on the ground and progress to learning proper positions, take downs, counters,and escapes. Students learn an entire range of submissions, attacking all parts of the body from head-to-toe, in a safe and progressive atmosphere. Along with ground techniques, CSW students are taught offensive and defensive kickboxing fundamentals including elbow and knee techniques, clinch and standing grappling.

Northwest Kickboxing offers STX kickboxing, a dynamic blend of Muay Thai from Thailand and Savate Boxe Francaise from France. Students are taught the fundamental principles of these disciplines. The STX program at NW Kickboxing is endorsed by USA boxing, the national governing body of amateur,olympic-style-boxing. USA Boxing insures students that they are receiving top of the line training. Many famous athletes have come from USA endorsed programs including, but not limited to, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Oscar de la Hoya.

Combat Submission Wrestling, or CSW is a mixed martial art developed by former Shoot wrestling world champion and world-class coach Erik Paulson. Having spent decades training under some of the worlds most accomplished instructors including Dan Inosanto, Rickson Gracie, and Yori Nakamura, Paulson has blended his knowledge of Shoot wrestling, Muay Thai, Kali, Jeet Kune Do, and more into a dynamic mix of ground and standup for MMA arena which he calls Combat Submission Wrestling.

Northwest Kickboxing is headed by Sifu/Guro Christopher Clarke. Clarke began martial arts training in hard style Japanese karate at the age of 18. After only a few short months of traditional training in 1984, he was introduced to the dynamic blend of martial arts training of the Inosanto group through another NW instructor, Cliff Lenderman. Clarke received his Apprentice Instructor certificate in November of 1987. In the summer of 1989 he began travelling to Los Angeles to train directly under Inosanto and his group of dedicated students. Today, Sifu Clarke is the only certified Full Instructor in the Pacific Northwest authorized by Dan Inosanto to teach and promote the Filipino Martial Arts and Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu / Jeet Kune Do.

All ability levels are welcome. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace to meet their individual goals with careful, guided instructors. So not matter no matter what your skill level or goals are, this program offers something for everyone.
