Urijah Faber has an idea for who he wants to coach on the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Live.”

“The California Kid” has built a strong gym alongside the likes of Joseph Benavidez, Chad Mendes and others, pushing his Team Alpha Male into world of MMA.

Now, with this opportunity to further expose himself and his squad to the public, Faber knows just how important TUF will be to his future.

“I’m always looking to recruit guys,” said Faber, in a recent interview with the UFC’s website. “I don’t know what it is. I’ve always been kind of a leader when it comes to that stuff and kinda visionary, also. So, when I see guys with talent, I believe in them.”

Faber will coach opposite UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, while the two will fight for a third time later this year for the belt Cruz currently wears.

As far as molding the minds and bodies of young MMA fighters, Faber said, “All they really need is a nudge in the right direction and a little encouragement, and things happen.”

Faber plans on taking along Master Thong, Fabio Prado, Dustin Akbari, Justin Buchholz and Lance Palmer with him on the show, while Mendes, Benavidez, T.J. Dillashaw and others will make appearances, as well.

“For me, I get a lot of exposure for myself, my team, my guys,” Faber said. “I’ve been a guy who’s been able to scout talent since I got in this game before it was even really popular, and I think I’m gonna be able to help out here as well. It’s gonna be fun to help another group of guys reach their goals and do big things.”
