Working from the assumption that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu must be embraced as a lifelong journey, Sensei Gazze Jr. has designed an effective learning plan or program of study that allows for students to naturally progress from the white belt to the black belt.
Gazze academy is a place that once you walk in the door it becomes your new home. I started training BJJ there 4 years ago and my main goal was just to learn the game of jiu jitsu as it seemed very intriguing to me. I have been an MMA fan since the UFC in 1993 and like everyone else I have witnessed the pure dominance the brazilians had in the cage with their skills. I set out to learn the game with no intention of ever competing, I remember the day I told coach Gazze this.. he laughed. Lets just say his laughter had good reason!! I did start competing and it has become my passion to say the least. I have won 14 medals in a row in 14 tournaments and have won several gold medals with a recent Gold medal at the 2010 National championships. This win gave me the final step to becoming a purple belt which is something that I hold very close to my heart. This is a major accomplishment to me and I will one day get my black belt and make coach Paulo Gazze a very proud sensei and a proud man. I highly recommend that if anyone is serious about learning the sport of BJJ or they are looking for a place to call home with a bunch of awesome guys come to Gazze Academy, we welcome everyone with open arms!
