Outliers BJJ is built on the foundation of self, family and community. The belief is that, if you take care of your self, you can raise a family, and with a family you can build a community.
The aim of Outliers Jiu-jitsu is to provide a learning environment that offers growth in all aspects of mind, body, and spirit. We teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a grappling art that was popularized in America by the legendary Gracie family. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu concentrates on dominating your opponent by using angles, leverage and superior body positioning to control an opponents body movement. A person that has a superior position is in a better situation to apply finishing holds or start striking. This style allows for a smaller person to defeat a much larger attacker. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is excellent for women who are often taken to the ground during assaults. We would recommend this style for men, women and children looking for a great workout and realistic self-defense.
We have specific classes that were designed to meet the needs of a brand new student that is attending for the very first time. Many new students think that you should get in shape on your own before starting training. That is the furthest thing from the truth. You’ll absolutely love the easy and relaxed environment we have set up in our beginner fundamental classes. It will allow you to come in and learn no matter what type of shape you are in.
In our program you’ll be able to progress at your very own pace. We understand that everyone learns differently. No matter if you can only train once a week or everyday we have a program for you.
Awesome place and very proud/lucky to be a part of the Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Association. I started learning BJJ in Decmember and I’m real glad I decided to train at OJJ. The instructors are great and very helpful. The environment is great and so are the other students; nobody has a bad attitude. I’d recommend Outliers Jiu Jitsu to anyone looking to train, one of the best decisions I’ve made!
