Located in Cape Coral, Florida, Black Trunk is led by BJJ black belt Sean Wilson, the first black belt under Gustavo Machado in Gustavo’s twelve years of teaching.
Sean Wilson began his training and wrestling in 1989 and continued through high school in Orlando, Florida. He was a two-time captain of his wrestling team. He was 1st Team All Conference in five different weight classes his senior year, two-time Florida National Team member in Freestyle and Greco Roman Wrestling and voted “All Century Team” in the year 2000 by the Orlando Sentinel.
Sean remains active not only in teaching, but also in competition. He is a Grapplemania Superfight Champion, 2-time Virginia State Champion Absolute Division (All Weight Classes Combined), Yamasaki East Coast Championship winner, and a 2-time North American Grappling Association Champion.

Black Trunk is a great gym. Sean is an awesome guy with the best BJJ in the area. Ive trained in some of the local gyms in Cape Coral/Fort Myers/Estero/Naples area and have always returned to Black Trunk.
