The Gracie Barra School in Downtown Augusta and also in Lexington, South Carolina, is well known in the CSRA Martial Arts community for its commitment to teaching high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness. Black belt professor, Joshua “Foca” Miller owns and operates the academy in Augusta and Lexington in concert with Eduardo DeLima’s Gracie Barra Tampa academy. Joshua has won championships at 2006 Tampa International and 2006 Florida State Championship. The Augusta academy is a fairly young academy, and yet has steadily turned out winning fighters. Our third degree black belt professor, Eduardo De Lima trained under legendary Master Carlos Gracie Jr., at the original Gracie Barra Academy, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Under Master Carlos’ tutelage, Eduardo acquired the extensive knowledge of the “gentle art” on the same mats as some of the best BJJ instructors and fighters ever known.
