Loading...AFTA Martial Arts offers one of the largest Martial Arts curriculums in the Midwest, and by far the largest in the Rockford, Illinois area. As far as Mixed Martial Arts (M.M.A.) are concerned, A.F.T.A. is the oldest and only M.M.A. School in Rockford since 1984. We co-prompted the first M.M.A. event in Rockford at the Metro Center in 1996 with the late Tom Litului of Chicago. We were teaching M.M.A. before people in the Midwest even knew what the letters M.M.A. stood for. Unlike the others, we put our money where our mouth is, and we challenge anyone to disprove these facts. Our alumni and present students are among the Midwest’s top kickboxing champions as well as a pay-per-view 2-time King of the Cage champion and Rage in the Cage champion. Not to mention how we train adults and children to defend themselves.

Breaking, Children’s Self Defense, Free Sparring, Goal Setting, Ground Fighting, Gun Defense, Hand to Hand, Hand to Weapon, (Holds, locks, and throws), Kickboxing, Knife Defense, Multiple Attack Defense, Pressure Points, Proper Attitude, Proper Kicking Technique, Reality Martial Arts, Special Techniques, Stress Management, Weapons, and Women’s Self Defense.
