Terry Middleton’s Martial Arts, located in New Albany, Indiana, has been in business for nearly 35 years and is one of the oldest and biggest Martial Arts operations in America. The present operation allows classes to be offered to anyone from six years old and up. A student can attend for self-defense and improve health benefits or train for amateur and professional competition. There are many instructors and trainers with many years of experience.
The four levels of the school permit many classes to function at once. There are three large classrooms, boxing gym, ladies weight room, lounge, two offices, and several locker rooms. This allows Karate, Kickboxing, and Boxing classes to run concurrently.
Many champions have trained at Terry Middleton’s. Students have earned many Kickboxing titles, and amateur and professional Boxing titles. Arther Weathers and James Prichard held world Boxing cruiser weight championship belts. Greg Page and Jimmy Ellis were heavyweight champions of the world. In 2006, Terri Blair won the women’s world welterweight and middleweight championship titles.
Anyone interested in taking classes in Karate, Kickboxing, Boxing or Mixed Martial Arts should visit the school and compare before joining a small studio or club that overcharges, lacks ability, or experience. You’ll be glad you did!
