I had a great time rolling BJJ with Perry, Kurt and James. The gym folks are very accommodating and super friendly. It’s well lit and bright with easy parking. The gear is in great shape, the space is huge. I wouldn’t feel intimidated as a new student to come right in and get to work. The whole place has an upbeat, hardworking, positive vibe to it. Highly recommended!

I started training BJJ here a couple months back and only have great things to say about the staff, facilities, and the group of guys that train here.

I am from Charlotte, NC but travel to Eagan, MN for work every week. MTT was has a variety of payment plans/training options, and I was able to find one that worked for my schedule/budget.

The BJJ training area is large and the mats are in good shape. The instructors teach very usable jiujitsu and bring a great Judo perspective in the type of moves they teach.

There is a very large core group of guys that train here. I was very impressed by the number of people that consistently show up for class and to train. In my opinion, the number of dedicated students is one of the greatest strengths of this school.

If you are considering a Jiu Jitsu program then I would definitely recommend stopping by MTT and attending a class.

I have been a member of seven other gyms and checked out numerous other mma gyms in the metro area. There is no comparison to Minnesota Top Team when it comes to customer service and the gym as a whole. The diversity of classes and equipment has brought me to fitness levels I have never achieved before. All of the instructors help the beginners get on board, and the environment has become like a family. My only gripe is I wish I would’ve started at this place earlier.

Good training with a great group of guys. I came from zero fighting background and picked it up easily thanks to my instructors and rolling. I highly recommend this gym.

Minnesota Top Team has a great staff, facilities, and atmosphere. Jenny and Jeremy will make certain you are welcomed from the moment you walk through the door.

The facilities are unlike any other I have been to. With a full weight, separate boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai areas, there is plenty of space to train and be comfortable.

In addition to the MMA facilities, make certain you check out core classes and personal training options available. There are classes for everyone at MTT. It is a great place, and I am thankful that I found it! Visit and spread the word!

I started attending classes at MTT back in May and I can safely say that it was the best choice I could have made. The whole staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they make a sincere effort to get to know you and it makes everything that much better. The instructors are all willing to take extra time to work with you when you have questions and make everything easy to learn. Also with all of the options that you have in classes there are so many things that you can learn and get a great workout while you do it. If you are looking for a new gym to either start working out or learn more intricacies of something you already do MTT is a great place to go.

  • I had to go through 3 different gyms before I found the right one, Minnesota Top Team ! After getting out of the Military in 2007, I was determined to find structure and challenge again. I was also craving that adrenaline rush. I went to Lifetime Fitness, Warriors Cover and Ambition MMA, which combined together didn’t compare to MN Top Team. Friendly staff, outstanding facility and no short cuts. After going through some significant health issues, MN top team welcomed me back with open arms. When fight day comes, I will be ready thanks to the well-rounded training at MTT.

I am not an elite athlete, I am a working mother and I recommend MTT. They greet me by name when I walk in the door. It has a great atmosphere and I feel very welcomed by the both the instructors and other students in Muay Thai class and I am the only female. As promised the class is a great workout, (I am sore in new places after each class) I’m learning self defense and it’s so much fun!

I discovered this gym through Groupon. I have never tried any martial arts or boxing before. It turns out I love boxing. I typically am not a fan of “exercise classes,” but boxing is different every single time you go. Alex is an awesome boxing instructor, very accessible and encouraging. The 60 minute classes will kick your butt and have you drenched in sweat.

This is what I’d describe as a “guy gym” — not at all fancy/showy, no cute outfits required, everyone is there to workout hard. I was extremely nervous going to my first class — being in my 40’s and not in shape at all (although I’m working on that). Jennie made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in, and the instructors were all helpful as I figured out what I was doing. Even though some boxing classes have me feeling like I might die (in a good way), I am always proud of myself for making it through. I recommend this gym for people of all levels of athleticism — it’s definitely the kind of place where your skills and fitness can grow and evolve.
