They will emphasize on conditioning and techniques as well as discipline, respect, confidence, fitness, and self-defense.

Here at One Kick’s Gym it is our goal to develop and inspire a life of discipline, self-respect and honor by dedication and concentration through combat arts. Whether you are a professional or a beginner; interested in Muay Thai and/or Jiu Jitsu we have a program to fit your needs.

Through our concern for today’s youth and our expertise of Martial Arts we work with kids to keep them “off the streets and in the gym”. Master Nick has a unique program for children which combines Muay Thai as well as Jiu Jitsu. In a safe environment they will learn the importance of respect and self-control. They will also learn the effects of drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, and gang violence. Master Nick’s program also builds self-confidence, teaches good sportsmanship, and instils many other positive attributes the students will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

I have been in martial arts for about five years now. This gym is well rounded with its stand up game. Master Nick and Master Lookchan are very good trainers. Not only do they make their students work hard, but they also care about their fighter which is rare to find in a gym. This gym teaches new ways of thinking in the sport with its concepts, techniques and drills. I wish I had started my career at this gym because I would have been an even better fighter.

Maybe great in teaching the skills but there’s a lot more to being a fighter than skills. The sense of sportsmanship and fighting clean is obviously not being taught in this school. From what I’ve witnessed during an amateur fight none of the things they advertise here about teaching sportmanship, self respect, discipline, & self control being instilled in these little kids. I pray to God they don’t carry in life what they’ve learned from this school. The world would be full of bullies. An exercise in self control is a good way to start & start with your staff/trainers. Heckling “kick him in the fuckin’ face” to your fighter during the fight even after being repeatedly told not to by the referee, grabbing their crotches, & fist pumping is indicative of what characters you are building in these impressionable kids. There’s a fine line between self confidence & cocky show-offs and the over-the-top cheap tasteless props of glitters & blinged out banners & robe coupled with poor fight etiquette indicates this school crossed that line. They remind me these group of cocky bullies they feature in the movies.
