Modern Martial Arts- Englishtown Fight Club is Central New Jersey’s premier submission school and only “Toe Hold” club.  We are the first MMA school in our area, and offer classes in: Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo Grappling, Kick Boxing, Wrestling, Boxing, Aikido/Self Defense, Kendo, Iaido and Stick Fighting.  MMA is an Eric Paulson Combat Submission Wrestling school, so please check our website for seminars!

At MMA we have something for everybody, whether you want to compete in Mixed Martial Arts tournaments, loose weight and get in shape or if want to learn an incredible means of self defense, its all here.

We take our training very serious, give 100% effort to bring you the best instruction possible, and train you to be the best martial artist you can be. In return we expect nothing less than 100% effort in every class!

In classes with belt systems we do not skip ranks or have any kind of accelerated promotion programs.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOME PLACE YOU CAN BE PROMOTED QUICKLY AND COLLECT BELTS, YOUR IN THE WRONG PLACE !

All students start off as white belts, regardless of past experience. Please dont take this as an insult. Every style has something unique to offer. This is not meant to put other styles down, but every style is different and unique and should have their own respective ranking system.

At MMA’s Englishtown location, we now offer separate classes for beginners and advanced students so everybody can get the attention they need. Advanced students still train in the beginner classes to sharpen up their basics, get an aditional workout in and help the beginners get started. Our advanced students understand no matter how long they train there is always something to be learned in the beginner class.

At MMA we always remember to keep a beginners mind. An experts mind is full and has no room for new ideas or concepts. The beginners mind is always thirsty for knowledge and willing to learn something new. The beginners mind also does not dismiss something because its different, but is willing to give it a chance. Never forget the feeling you had when you first started training. If you forget that feeling you no longer have a beginners mind. We look forward to seeing you on the mat!
