Loading...Unified Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in South Jordan is the only academy in Utah with five certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts! We all trained and were awarded our black belts under Professor Pedro Sauer while he was here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Once he moved to Virginia, we decided to unify our Gracie Jiu Jitsu skills and knowledge by opening an academy together. Besides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we also offer classes in MMA and Striking, with classes just for kids and Women!
Shawn Weaver is the head instructor and there is no-one better to learn self-defense from. Shawn began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Pedro Sauer in 1993. He earned his Black Belt in 2003. Shawn was the first Black Belt from Professor Sauer’s main Salt Lake Academy and the entire State of Utah. He was the second Black Belt from Professor Sauer’s Association. Weave is as tough on the mat as he is nice off of the mat.
