This place is a joke. They have no real qualified instructors. They have no good training partners or fighters. They do not even teach mma. What they teach is some washed up watered down boxing techniques that are not even effective in the mma circuit which they claim it is. Any gym that can send 8 fighters to a show and only come back with one win is definately not a school I want to train at. They have a bunch of thugs and want to be fighters. I witnessed one of there students knock out there pregnant girl friend in the parking lot of the school.

  • I am Master Gurjot Singh. The comment made by the previous person is disturbing to me as the Owner and Chief Trainer at Angel’s Gym. I do apologize for him or her having had to witness or hear about any alleged acts of violence that may or may not have occured at 25 year old fighting facility that has produced more champions in 5 different fighting disciplines than any other Fighting Gym in Fayetteville NC..

During my time being the leader at the Gym, which ended last spring, the Gym’s Fighters were well sought after for Amateur MMA Bouts in the mid-atlantic States and were on a winning streak that just ended in Aug 2010. The business is under new management and is rebuilding it’s MMA curriculum. Angel’s Gym has had a great reputation amoung MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing and Grappling promotional firms for having tough strikers that give great shows. Sometimes its Fighters have bad nites concerning wins and loses but they have always come back to show awesome technique and stamina. Checkout their website at http://www.angelsgym.com and press on the tab for MMA/Grappling and see an example of their training methods applied in an MMA Competitive showing.

As for the incidents mentioned that happened last summer, that person was ousted by the management even though he was an undefeated MMA Fighter. I am sorry that that happened at such a reputable fighting facility, but bad elements do turn up in a gym that has “real fighters” attending and training at a known tough and rough MMA School. Such an element does not show up regularly or stay after reprehensible acts are discovered.

  • Antonio Duerson says:

I have to say the individual that made a statement about the gym and all the negativity you really gotta look deep at the actual place and then to talk bad about the instructors I wouldn’t believe you could stand in the shadow of the smallest individual in there. what you can do is come to the new location on 584 South Reilly Road and actually see the new look and the new trainers maybe with that you’ll have a new perspective on the gym. but I do have to say this ..if you feel like you are strong enough then ask to spar one of the trainers then and only then can you pass judgement
