View ScheduleAmerican Fighter South Carolina/Charleston Krav Maga is the area’s only Officially Certified Krav Maga National Training Center as well as the area’s only Certified System of Mixed Martial Arts.  We offer the area’s hottest sport for the beginner or the fighter that wants to step into the ring. Our instructors are trained by some of the world’s best fighters.

UFC Title contender and Superstar, Hermes Franca, has worked with Charleston Krav Maga to form the Charleston Combat Club and Charleston Combat Team. Owner Matt Robinson, is currently training under Mr. Franca to bring true MMA and the most well rounded program to the Charleston area—the only certified, and longest-running, system of mixed martial arts. While mixed martial arts was initially practiced almost exclusively by competitive fighters, this is no longer the case. As the sport has become more mainstream and more widely taught, it has become accessible to wider range of practitioners of all ages.

A typical session of MMA training will consist of a combination of cardio vascular conditioning, Jiu Jitsu, and stand up fighting. Classes continually work at developing the most well rounded fighter and athlete. Mixed Martial Arts training will benefit everyone, from the full contact fighter who wishes to step into the ring, to the person who wants to get into shape fast and have a great time doing it.

We are home to the Charleston Combat Team, lead by Trainer/Coach Matt Robinson in affiliation with American Fighter, and consisting of an elite group of fighters from the Charleston Combat Club. Founded in June 2007, our team focuses on the arts of Brazilian Jiu Jistu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Wrestling.

This place is awesome. I have tried a bunch of other places in the area and was suprised by the amazing difference in instruction and knowledge. These guys are the real deal…I am telling you.

I should have done my research on other instructors because I could have saved myself a lot of time and wasted money by going to this school first.

They have a really high level Jiu Jitsu guy that is the highest rank in the area. Also the stand up is really awesome. I have never had anyone explain it to me like they have done. It makes a ton of sense.

You have to check them out if you are serious about training. Good Stuff!!!

    Thanks
