Gracie Barra North Austin is one of three schools comprising Gracie Barra Austin in the Austin, Texas area. We offer world-class level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction for individuals, families, and Law Enforcement Officials of Travis County and is being developed to become a reference for physical education, character development, self-defense, and world class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, BJJ, training at the communities of South Austin, North Austin and Cedar Park.

The Gracie Barra Austin Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are aligned with the Gracie Barra Program Structure developed by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to meet specific learning needs from people with different ages, gender and levels. Our South Austin, North Austin and Cedar Park BJJ locations offer a clean, friendly and progress oriented environment allows the students to have a challenging, inspirational and warm learning and training experience that always make them feel like coming back.

Professor Marcelo Ribeiro earned his black belt in 2001, he started studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the young age of 12 years old. Today with 34 years old he specializes in teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to children and adults. After owning for 4 years a successful Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu School in Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Professor Marcelo decided to come to US with his family and in 2006. Professor Marcelo is also known for coaching successful Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors, he has produced many gold medalists on the major championships like the prestigious IBJJF Worlds, Pan Americans and Nationals. Professor Marcelo is also a top referee, and referee director to IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federeation) in major championships. When not teaching classes, Professor takes his time to volunteer and teach law enforcement, and has done seminars and special self defense training for SWAT, Troopers and Sheriff’s departments.
