I’ve been to several schools of different martial arts over the years, and IFA is the best I’ve ever been to by far, and for many reasons.

The instructor (Frank Benn) has a pretty phenomenal depth of knowledge about any aspect of fighting you’d care to study. He also takes the time work with each individual student, beginner or advanced, and puts together lesson plans that take into account the skills and development of every student. It’s also worth noting that the school teaches functional fighting, which is rather different that many sport-based systems.

The facility is great (really nice mats), the equipment is all top quality, and the rates are entirely reasonable. Plus, IFA plays the best music you’ll ever hear in an MMA school. Guaranteed.

  • Mike, again. says:

Update, forgot to mention that there are also conditioning classes that happen two days a week, and they’re free as long as you’re signed up for any of the other three curriculums. These are great for getting in fighting shape and staying that way; they prevent injury on the mats.
